Classroom & Lobby Rules

• Please be on time 
• Please use the restroom BEFORE class 
• Please do not enter a studio unless an instructor is present 
• Please wear the correct YSD Dress Code 
• Please, NO PARENTS in the studios unless the teacher invites you 
• Please label your shoes and attire 
• Please no food, drinks or gum in the studios 
• ABSOLUTELY NO cell phones in the studios 
• Hands and feet to yourselves 
• Mouths and feet quiet when the instructor is talking 
• No hanging on the barre like monkeys 
• Please, no running and jumping on the benches 
• Please wait INSIDE the lobby for your ride 
• Please be respectful and courteous to one another

2020-2021 Studio Hours are Monday - Thursday 3:30 - 9:00.
We are closed Friday-Sunday.

Dance Pointes, Information & the Parent Portal

Following this note, you will no longer receive the Dance Pointes at Dance Class.  They will be sent to your email address on file.  The September Dance Pointes will be sent to you via e-mail by September 15.  If you do not receive one by September 15, please contact Cindy so we can make sure you receive the rest of the years Pointes as well as any other important pieces of information.

Please be sure to check your parent portal as well!  In the parent portal there is a link to your Messages, which is all emails sent from our database.  If you have not set one up, be sure to do so.  If you need assistance, please stop by our front desk and our office assistants will be happy to help. https://app.jackrabbitclass.com/jr3.0/ParentPortal/Login?orgID=536287

YSD Notification Reminders in the YWCA School of Dance App

We send out Reminder or Alert Notifications through our YWCA School of Dance App. Please be sure to select “Groups” at the bottom of the App and then select the night and/or classes your dancer is registered for so that you get the correct notifications. As stated before, if you have not already downloaded our YWCA School of Dance App, please do so either in your App Store or by using the following link https://ywcadance.app.link/hPpjhO2zrZ

Dress Code

Dance students MUST have the proper attire to participate.  Students in all dance classes are REQUIRED to have tights and a leotard.  Hair needs to be pulled back in a ponytail, braid or bun.

1. Dancers in 2-3, 4-5 & 6-7 year old classes can wear a solid colored pink or black leotard.  Ballet skirts are optional.
2. Dancers in classes Level 1 and up MUST wear a solid colored black leotard.  Black ballet skirts or black spandex shorts are optional.

Kids Eat Free @ the Zone

All children ages 1-18 are welcome to eat free at the Zone at the YWCA Monday-Friday from 4:30-5:30 pm.  If you would like your child to participate before or after dance classes, your dancer will need to exit the dance studio and enter through the Zone entrance.  Your child will not be supervised by the YWCA School of Dance or the Zone staff during their transition to and from each location.  Your dancer will not be excused from dance classes to eat.  Please plan and make arrangements for your dancer to arrive to class on time if you choose to participate in the Free Meal Program.

Birthday Parties

Beginning on Saturday and Sundays in September, the YWCA School of Dance will be offering Ballet Birthday Parties for dancers turning 3-7 years old.  No hassles, all will be set up, run and cleaned up by our Staff.  All-Inclusive Party Fee: $125 for members/$175 for non-member.  The Party Fee is due upon booking-at least 14 days in advance.   7-day cancellation notice required for full refund.    We cannot guarantee a princess or which princess will be at your party.  This is due to our assistants schedules.  You can request your top 3 Princess Choices.  Stop by the Office for more information if you are interested!.
